Die "Regionalwissenschaftliche Datenbank für Russland, UdSSR und Nachfolgestaaten (RussGus)" ist eine regionalwissenschaftliche Datenbank für den bibliographischen Nachweis deutschsprachiger Literatur mit Bezug auf Russland, die UdSSR und ihre Nachfolgestaaten. Sie enthält ca. 170.000 Nachweise für Titel der Erscheinungsjahre 1974 - 2003. Der hier zur Verfügung gestellte Fachausschnitt von ca. 60.000 Datensätzen deckt die Bereiche "Sprache, Literatur, Kultur, Geschichte, Kunst und Religion" ab. Die Schlagwortlisten zu Personen und Regionen sind zu "Tag Cloud" aufgearbeitet.

| Inhalt | They have been described as the eighth wonder of the world - priceless jewel-encrusted amber panels which adorned Catherine the Great's palace before they were looted by the Nazis and disappeared without trace. Now the race is on between two rival teams of treasure hunters who believe the long-lost artefacts, along with hundreds of bars of gold bullion and other art works stolen by Adolf Hitler's forces during the Second World War, are buried in a disused silver mine on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany. A Czech team claimed it had discovered the last resting place of the hoard two years ago. But now the Germans, assisted by SS veterans, have mounted their own audacious expedition to take the treasures, worth hundreds of millions of pounds, from under the noses of the Czechs by tunnelling under the border from Germany. The two sides are engaged in bitter accusation and counter-accusation as they race to the glittering prize. Despite the perilous state of the 800-year-old mine, the rival Czech and German teams are working round the clock. Helmut Gaensel, the head of the Czech team who began his quest to recover the treasures of the Amber Room more than a decade ago, was the first to claim that they were buried in the Nicolai Stollen mine in northern Bohemia. |
