Anmerkung"The article deals with historiographic issues of the Armenian question. The debate taking place between different narratives of Armenian and Turkish historians places at its centre the political uses of history. The purpose of this article is to lay the groundwork for the Armenian-Turkish debate, to articulate the terms of the discourse, and to try to understand the confrontation between the parties through an examination of a varied spectrum of historical narratives and attitudes."
