The European Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies (EBSEES) collects books, journal articles, reviews and dissertations from Eastern Europe (former countries of Eastern Bloc) which were published in Belgium, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland from 1991 to 2007. The segment "Literature" and "Culture" of the European Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies contains 18.000 bibliographic entries (from the total asset of 85.000). | Note | "Post-privatisation restructuring of former state-owned enterprises (FSOEs) encompasses both shorter-run 'defensive' actions and longer-run 'strategic' measures. Restructuring involves changes in corporate governance, organisational structure, management, labour, capital, technology, output and sales. Various performance indicators may measure the results of restructuring, but care is required in the selection and interpretation of indicators. In the restructuring of FSOEs foreign strategic investors have many advantages over domestic investors. The study includes examples from experience in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland." |
